What We Did
|
A festival hideaway brought to life for Sky at Isle of Wight Festival, built in association with RPM to host secret gigs, chilled-out moments and more than 15,000 visitors across the weekend.
Challenge
Sky and our agency partner needed a full-scale festival build that felt premium, playful and effortless for guests. The activation blended hospitality, content creation, wellness spaces and a hidden acoustic terrace disguised behind a fridge door. Our role was to translate their concept into a fully functioning destination with tight timelines, complex infrastructure and high footfall. The build had to withstand festival conditions, integrate multiple experience zones and stay invisible in operation so guests simply felt the magic.
What We Delivered
We delivered the complete physical build of Sky Open House, including all structures, finishes, utilities, dressing and on-site coordination. The space featured floral swings and selfie spots, a morning-to-evening cocktail bar, water refill stations, chill-out lounges, garden seating, a glam station, glitter and massage areas, free Wi-Fi and charging lockers, plus private loos for festival-weary guests.
The hero moment was the secret fridge door leading into a hidden terrace for intimate acoustic sets, including Supergrass unplugged. We managed fabrication, ground protection, lighting integration, signage, props, back-of-house support, power, safety compliance and full show-period management. Everything was built to feel simple for visitors, even though the delivery was anything but.
Impact
Sky Open House became one of the standout destinations at Isle of Wight Festival, drawing more than 15,000 visitors and generating a constant wave of social content thanks to its selfie spots, exclusive terrace sets and laid-back atmosphere. The activation helped elevate Sky as a headline partner with a human touch, offering festival comfort without losing the fun.
